Ovidiu Bojor

Ovidiu Bojor is an artist, product designer and creative director, born in Bistrița, Romania, in 1994 and based in Barcelona. His work spans art, physical products, 3D and CGI, and software, and he takes each piece from the first sketch to the finished thing people wear, hold or use.

He began as an artist. He studied Visual Arts at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, spending his second year on a six-month scholarship at the Complutense University of Madrid and a six-month internship at the Espronceda Institute of Art & Culture in Barcelona, then returned to Cluj to graduate in 2018. His early work is drawn in bleach on black paper: books, sheets and five-metre scrolls where the colour is taken out rather than put on. His first exhibition, CAUSTIC, opened at Galeria Casa Matei in Cluj-Napoca in May 2018.

In 2019 he showed in Tokyo, at Art Lab Akiba, and returned to Barcelona as resident artist at Espronceda. There he made his largest bodies of work: HYELTW?, a show of paintings, installation and VR; a walk-in dome at the Immensiva Festival; and CRYPTOMERSIVE, a five-metre projection later shown in VR in Toulouse. A solo show at Raima, Barcelona, followed in 2021, and group shows in Brussels and Toulouse in 2022.

From art he moved into objects, and at the end of 2023 founded his studio, Bojoreal. He designs footwear, eyewear and bags made to be 3D-printed, as a design partner of Zellerfeld, the 3D-printed footwear platform, and of Visages, the 3D-printed eyewear platform. His BRUT SHADES launched at the IRL Showroom in Paris in 2024 and made their Asian debut that December at the MXLLA showroom in Hong Kong, and his EVOS frames launched on stage at VivaTech 2025.

He also designs and builds software: his own apps and AI tools for designing, making and running creative work, crafted with the same care as the objects. Each one joins this archive as it launches.
