WACKEN BOOT

A festival boot for Wacken Open Air

Three-quarter view of a laceless grey and black boot with a longhorn skull raised on the ankle panel
The boot has no laces, no eyelets and no tongue. A thick lugged sole wraps up and around the foot like a rand, and the upper rises straight out of it as one smooth panel that ends in a rolled collar. A longhorn skull stands raised on the outside of the ankle. The letters W:O:A are pressed into the sidewall below it, and the same skull turns up again in the middle of the tread. The boot was built to be printed rather than assembled, so anything that would normally be a seam, a stitch or a glued-on part had to become a change in shape instead. The two-tone split is a boundary between sections of one body, not a joint between two materials. Designed over the winter of 2025 into early 2026 for Wacken Open Air, commissioned by ZellCon with Zellerfeld on production. Four colourways were drawn from the same model.
