HYELTW CAMPAIGN

Thirty-eight square posters, one show, no two alike

Deep blue poster with HYELTW? set large in orange over a mirrored ghost of itself, and beneath it the dates 12–15 NOV 2020, opening at 19:00h, Carrer d'Espronceda 326
A full announcement campaign for HYELTW?, designed for the feed rather than the wall: thirty-eight square posters, all 2160 × 2160, released as a run under the Espronceda mark. No two are alike, and they do not share a template. A cobalt figure holds a shape, or stands inside a ring of its own copies, or is buried in a burst of blue fronds. The title is set kinetic — stacked, mirrored, smeared, stuttering down the frame in red until it stops making a word. One poster is nothing but the hand-drawn alphabet from the panel itself. Another is a pie chart with a slice for each letter of the title, every one 14.3%, captioned SOON. The run works because it withholds. Most of the early posters say only SOON; the date arrives late and then repeats everywhere. What is being advertised is barely shown — a torn corner of the bleached panel, a book standing open in the dark, an alphabet that means nothing yet. The posters carry the details in their own type: 12–15 NOV 2020, opening at 19:00h, Carrer d'Espronceda 326, Nave 4&5, Barcelona. Earlier versions in the same folder carry two abandoned date ranges — 21–31 and 22–31 October — so the run also records the show being moved.

A row of cobalt figures standing inside a large orange ring on a pale grey ground, the title running vertically up the left edge
A ring of figures, and one standing outside it.
A burst of blue frond-like forms filling the frame, with HYELTW? in outline and SOON in solid orange across it
Most of the early run says only SOON.
A black poster filled edge to edge with rows of the hand-drawn alphabet from the panel, pale on black
The whole poster is the drawn alphabet from the work itself.
HYELTW? repeated in heavy red type down the whole frame until the letters break apart, with SOON at the foot
Set kinetic — repeated until it stops being a word.
One of the folded books standing open in darkness, its bleached pages catching the light, SOON set below it
A book standing open in the dark. Nothing else.
A torn corner of the bleached black panel across the frame with HYELTW? in white above it and the dates in orange
A torn corner of the panel — as much of the work as the campaign ever shows.
A pie chart on white divided into seven equal slices, one labelled for each letter of HYELTW, every slice 14.3 percent, with SOON at the centre
One slice per letter. Every one 14.3%.
