I DREAMED
A landscape that will not hold still

Horizon lines, small structures along them, and a bright dotted diagonal cutting down through the whole field. It reads as a place, but no two parts of it agree on where the ground is.
Sodium hypochlorite — household bleach — drawn onto black paper with brush, dropper and bare hand. The bleach lifts the dye out of the sheet rather than adding anything to it, so every mark arrives pale gold and none of them can be taken back. A line keeps spreading after the hand has left, which means the drawing finishes itself.
Titled I DREAMED. One of the two large sheets at 130 by 100 centimetres, and like the rest it was stored folded, so a crease now runs straight through the middle of the image.
