Long strands crossing a field of grain, and two dark windows cut into it
A warm speckled field, dense as static, with long pale strands travelling across it — some ruled and beaded like a chain, some loose and fraying at the ends into fine hairs. Where they cross, small discs sit like knots.
Two rectangles of solid black are set into the sheet, one near the middle and one low right, each with its own smaller marks inside. They read as windows onto a darker version of the same weather.
Everything in it is going somewhere, and nothing arrives inside the frame.
