ATINGERE
Touch — a palm pressed into the wet bleach

A palm pressed flat into wet bleach. Below it the liquid keeps going on its own, spreading into fine root-like tendrils that the hand never drew.
Sodium hypochlorite — household bleach — drawn onto black paper with brush, dropper and bare hand. The bleach lifts the dye out of the sheet rather than adding anything to it, so every mark arrives pale gold and none of them can be taken back. A line keeps spreading after the hand has left, which means the drawing finishes itself.
Titled ATINGERE — touch. It is the most literal work in the run: the mark is a contact, and everything after it is the material continuing without him.
