CELESTIAL LOVE
Seven black sheets where the bleach was allowed to keep travelling

Bleach put on black paper and then left alone. Where the other works stop the liquid with a nib or a brush, here it is allowed to keep going, and it travels through the fibres the way frost travels across a window — thousands of separate filaments, each one thinner than a hair, all of them fanning out from a single point of contact.

So every form on these sheets has a head and a tail. Two of them stand side by side, a head each and a long body of drifting threads, and that pair is why the set is called what it is. Elsewhere the same thing happens without company: one form falls the whole height of the sheet, another doubles back on itself, two burst open like dandelion heads that have already been blown on.

None of the shapes was drawn. The only decisions were where to touch the paper, how much liquid to leave there, and when to stop watching.
